My guess is that if you are here, you do know what Silmarillion is and who wrote it. It is one of my favorite books (the other one is parasitology textbook, Plasmodium vivax really is almost as exciting as Noldorin Princes of the House of Finw�), so I tried to pay homage to my favorite works of Tolkien (The Silmarillion, the Unfinished Tales, and parts of HoME) in this section of my website. Of course, everything that he created, be it places, characters, concepts, or ideas, belongs to him. |

Silmarillion Haiku Since it is extremely difficult to write Quenya haikus in 7-5-7 format, I had to sacrifice it
more than once. It was more of an excuse to play with Quenya, than anything serious.
New haikus are constantly being added. |

Death of Fingolfin Something Fingolfin's minstrel could have composed, seeing his King ride across Anfauglith.
The main version is the Quenya one, and the English translation is not verbatim. |

To Maedhros A song set in the time when Maedhros was captured and brought to Angband. Morgoth and
N�mo Mandos talk to him, and he answers. |

Brothers Fingolfin's farewell words to his brothers in Araman. English and Quenya versions are quite
different. |

| Lament for Gondolin "I will never forget thee, Gondolin" say those who survived its fall. In English and Quenya. |

3) The Mounds of Doriath, describing Maedhros and Maglor visiting the place where three of their brothers died, and trying to explain events to Elrond and Elros. Also concerned with portraying sons of F�anor, already dead at those that still live.
4) Change-Bringer - the coronation of Ar-Adunakhor of Numenor and events immediately preceding it |
