This is
the collection of my projects which i was involved throughout my university
years.
My First Year Projects ! ( Easy going )
|
During
my first year in Bristol University, I was involved in several projects
which are part of university asignment The major assignments were Music
Player and The Bottle Counter. Besides
that, I also did a project called Arithmetic Logic
Unit (ALU). As part of my linear circuits and electronics module
i also did some laboratory work on transient
responses of circuits (Laplace Domain Analysis) and reactive components,
resonance and filters. For the digital system unit, I did an interesting
project called Security System. As part
of the Institution of Electrical Engineer's (IEE) requirements, I wrote
an essay title The Challenge of Design.
My
Second Year Projects ! ( I chose the wrong course ! )
|
In
the second year, the projects are much bigger scale. The major project
was building a Switch Mode Power Supply, Petrol Station and Modem. Besides
that, I wrote a program called Maze as part of my C++ programming assignment.
In my industrial electronics module, I also did a lab session on Tyristor
and Servomotor Mechanism each. The lab session was useful in providing
a more indept understanding of the theory being taught. As part of the
faculty design, I wrote an article about computer
modelling.

My
Third Year Projects ! ( Finally,Gimme a break!)
|
Phew...
my final year. People from Bristol University used to tell me that second
year is the hardest in Bristol. In terms of work load and projects (
look at the amount of project I was involved in ) I have to agree. But
in terms of the stuff that I'm going to be studying.... nah don't want
to think about it yet ! I still have 2 months of summer left. But one
thing for sure is that I'm going to be involved in a project called
Rev. Counter and Limiter, which I don't have a clue.
Well I'm back now in my final year at university and i'm experiencing
the most hectic time in my life. Probably partly due to my extra-curricular
activities but mostly its my project and studies which are killing me.
I'm in the middle of my research now and hopefully will start the designing
part in a few days time. I'll write an article about my findings in
the next update. Give me sometime I need to rest too..:)
Here is
some updates about how my project is progressing ! Click here to find
out...FPGA Implementation of a low cost rev counter
and limiter. Ahh, i'm back with good news I hope. Next week will
be my presentation. I have updated an article of wind power which i
did for my faculty design course.
