#3          Harden 2 for 42, Wazi 1 for 15,

              Jesperson 103, Benning 23.

Congratulations to Steven Jesperson who scored his first century for Cowichan on Sunday 7th May, thereby enabling a six wicket victory over old rivals Alcos. He scored it in only 66 balls, hitting 6 sixes to the delight of the spectators.
13th.May '06

              Jesperson 17
#5          Wazi 5 for 44 Benning 2 for 29

Lost    By 121 runs in 26 overs.
Catches not taken and batsmen unable to settle-in probably account for this heavy defeat. However this is not to take anything away from the young Colts XI.
20th.May '06
      H      Nanainmo 55 All vs Cowichan 59 for 3
              Jesperson 5 for 5
#6           M. Martin 33

Cowichan proved too strong for Nanaimo. Captain Adam Bennning took the opportunity to give bowling and batting experience to the team in general. The game was over at 2:55pm and a 20 over game was organised to fill the afternoon.
27th.May '06

#7            Downs 24

                Jesperson 7 for 11 (incl 2 hat-tricks)
                Harden 3 for 19
   Won      By 49 runs.
"Steve Jesperson's bowling spell of nine overs was brilliant. 5 of his 6 hat-trick victims were clean bowled. Oak Bay batsmen found him unplayable." (HJM)
The scorebook here.
25th. June '06
     A       Cowichan 214-9 vs Metchosin 145
#10          Jesperson 63, Benning 46, Hender 40.
               Harden 3 for 42, Benning 2 for 21,
               Fletcher 2 for 24.
Won        By 69 runs.
A good all-round effort by Cowichan and a pleasant social occasion followed
with a barbeque and fixings.
It might have been closer but Steve Jesperson, ably supported by Richard Downs, had other ideas. He struck fours and sixes, seemingly at will, and in the course of 31 balls scored the runs required for a convincing victory.
8th. July '06
      H       Metchosin 172 - 7 vs Cowichan 173 for 3
