Elford Road in the summer of 2007. Thanks Dan and Gareth (our Overseas Players from N.Z.)
Note the changes!. Last winter's snowfall destroyed the balcony and our insurance paid for its renewal - in the hands of Adam Benning (Club Captain and most excellent carpenter). We painted the entire outside of the pavilion too which was long overdue. The colour is an excellent choice. All this in 2007.

This view is from the southern boundary fence. To the north may be seen the changes wrought in the property next door and, although no vehicles are visible, there is now a highway running parallel and close to the northern boundary of this the Elford Road cricket ground. Some forty new houses will eventually be built and many of them will overlook the cricket field.
Joan, what would we have done without
you? How many have been the years you
have made certain that our tea-breaks
were something to which we all looked
forward with relish and confidence.
You must know we value you and respect
you.

We thank you, Joan, and we love you.
                        and
your good man, Cliff, made it possible.
The Cowichan Cricket & Sports Club
wishes to acknowledge the debt of
               gratitude it owes to

               Daniel J. Jackson

        Cricketer, Coach and Friend
without whose enthusiasm, skill and inbred
    kindliness and goodwill, this website
would not have come into being.
                  Thanks, Daniel,
                   YOU DID IT
Ben Bloxham tells it:

"Daniel and I cooperated during the summer he was playing for us and I remember the pleasure we took in exploring the possibility of a cost-free website for the club. After he returned home I undertook to care for and to maintain something in which I know we both took pride.

New (or comparatively so) to computing the first thing I did resulted in the destruction of the site! I suspect I was red-faced for days until I managed to resurrect it. I like to think it closely resembled the original."

To Kookaburra must go our thanks for
the use of a picture of theirs. One of those most excellent of cricket balls
which our club and the other clubs in this
Association all make use of. Here is a link
to their Australian site.
