| Ms. Carrie Crawford graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Social Studies education. She is currently working on her Master's in Government from Regent University. She taught High School history, speech, government, and drama for four years in Arizona before moving to Charlottesville last year. Ms. Crawford is in her second year at The Covenant School teaching U.S. History/Study Skills 7. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Mr. Chris Van Slooten graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Education with an emphasis on History and Political Science. In 1999 he earned his M.Ed. from Grand Valley State University in Gifted and Talented Education. His first teaching assignment was teaching history for the Grand Haven Public Schools in Michigan. He moved to Charlottesville in 2000 and taught History 7 at Buford Middle School. Mr. Van Slooten is in his second year at The Covenant School. | Mr. Matthew D. Davisson is a seventh-year teacher at The Covenant School. He graduated from West Virginia University in 1998 with degrees in Computer Science and in History and moved to Charlottesville in July 1999. For four years, Mr. Davisson has been a reader for the national A.P. United States History Exam issued by the College Board. During the Summers, he teaches a "Studies in Decision-Making" seminar for the University of Virginia's Summer Enrichment Program. Mr. Davisson teaches "History of the United States 11" (HOUSE) and Advanced Placement United States History (APUSH). He also advises the "Inklings" club, for fans of C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkein, and J.K. Rowling. He is a member of Jefferson Park Baptist Church in Charlottesville, VA. |
