| Our Father, who art in Heaven, These, first words announce our heritage, establishing us as Divine offspring. Absorb the words until these truths become facts of your own life. We are children of God, co-creators of our lives. Hallowed be Thy name. "Hallowed" means whole and perfect and "Name" means nature; thus the nature of God is perfect wholeness. As we are God's children, the separation we experience is only an illusion. We can return to wholeness whenever we remember to connect with our Creator. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, When we allow ourselves to open our heart and mind to God's will, we experience the Kingdom of God within us. on earth as it is in Heaven. The kingdom of God resides within us right here on earth. As we speak these words, we affirm our willingness to open our hearts to the joy that results from a meaningful connection with God and to express that in our daily lives. Give us this day our daily bread. There is no need to scavenge for crumbs; life is a banquet, and what we must do is simply receive God's daily support. Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. As we for-give (give up) the grudges, resentments, and fears that keep us separate from God, we are released into the freedom and wholeness of our spirits as God's children. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. As we listen to the voice of God within, we are never led astray. We can trust always that Spirit leads us into a life of wholeness and joy. For Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. -Amen. |
