Only some of the End of the Age (Matthew 24:3) events and prophecies will be covered here, so as not to cause confusion. There are many verses on each subject, but we will only give 2 or 3 for each event, so again, not to confuse. These events have only a brief summary so that an overview may be seen. End of the Age means �a historical or geological period�. It does not mean End of the World. 1 - There is the 70th WEEK of DANIEL.This Week of Daniel is expected to be a duration of 7 years. There is then an additional 75 days. 2 - There are 7 SEALS, 7 TRUMPETS and 7 BOWLS.The Seals, Trumpets and Bowls line up with what Christ taught in Matthew 24. Some think the Seals, Trumpets and Bowls are consecutive, some think they are overlays or concurrent. The Seals, Trumpets and Bowls have been given many interpretations, such as demons, airplanes, tanks, bombs and insects. One thing we do know, God is in control and it will all come about according to His perfect will.
Seal l: White Horse - The rider holds a bow and is given a  crown. He makes great conquest.Seal 2: Red Horse - The rider is given a great sword. He is
given power to take peace from the earth andthere is much killing.Seal 3: Black Horse - The rider is given a pair of scales. The voice heard, indicates inflation, scarcity offood and Famine.Seal 4: Pale Horse - The name of the rider is Death. Hades follows him. l/4 of the Earth is killed with war,hunger, and the beasts of the Earth.Seal 5: Under the altar, there are Souls of them that were slain for the Word of God, and for the testimonywhich they held.Seal 6: Heavenly disturbances and Earth upheaval. �The Great Day of His Wrath is come.� Seal 7: Silence in Heaven for half an hour. Trumpet l: The burning of l/3 of the earth and l/3 of the trees and all the green grass.Trumpet 2: Destruction will come to l/3 of the sea and its creatures and ships.Trumpet 3: l/3 of rivers and springs of water are contaminated and many people die from it.Trumpet 4: l/3 of the sun, moon and stars will turn dark, thus l/3 of daylight will be lost.Trumpet 5: Locusts shaped like horses, with hair, faces, teeth, wings, and tails like scorpions, will havepower to hurt and torment people for 5 months.They only harm those who do not have the sealof God in their foreheads.Trumpet 6: 2000,000,000 troops will cross the Euphrates River and kill l/3 of mankind with fire, smokeand sulfur.Trumpet 7: �The kingdom of this world is become the Kingdom of our Lord.� God�s wrath has come.Bowl l: Painful sores will fall on the people who have the mark of the Beast and those who worship its image.Bowl 2,3,4: They will cause the sea and all waters to become like blood and the sun to scorch theEarth.Bowl 5: It causes darkness to fall on the kingdom of the Beast. They will suffer from their sores and gnawtheir tongues for pain.Bowl 6: It dries up the Euphrates River so that the Kings of the East will be able to cross. Armies of thenations gather at Armageddon to make war againstIsrael.Bowl 7: A great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the Earth, will split Jerusalem into threeparts. It will cause cities to fall, islands todisappear and mountains to collapse. Hail weighingl00 pounds will fall. God�s wrath falls on Babylon.3 - There will be an ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION. Matthew 24:15Daniel 9:26-272 Thessalonians 2:4-11DON�T BE DECEIVED, THERE WILL BE AN ANTI-CHRIST ON EARTH, BEFORE JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVIOR RETURNS. (Daniel 9:26,27 Matthew 24:15) This appearance of an anti-Christ is called the Abomination of Desolation. He is a desolater. Who is he? Isn�t it most likely that this person is Satan, himself? Doesn�t Revelation 2:10 say, �The Devil shall cast some of you into prison� and Revelation 12:12 say, �The Devil has come down to you�? This Abomination will most likely take place at the mid-point of the 7 years. He will be revealed after �he who now hinders� is taken out of the way. We consider Michael the Archangel to be the one who now hinders, not the Church or the Holy Spirit. (Daniel 12:1 Revelation 12:7-12) In between this appearance of the anti-Christ and the Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, there will be a Great Tribulation. (Matthew 24:21,22,29) 4 - There will be a GREAT TRIBULATION.The Great Tribulation will most likely cover the last half of the 7 years. We are of the conviction that the Bible teaches the Church will go through the Great Tribulation. Christ mentions the Tribulation in Matthew 24 and Mark 13, then He says He will return and GATHER His Elect. Daniel 7:21,25 Revelation 13:7 tell us that the Saints of God will be persecuted by the anti-Christ. We do not agree with those who say that these verses are only describing people saved after a pre-tribulation rapture. There has been much talk that the Church (Bride of Christ) could not go through the Tribulation because it would wrinkle, spot and bruise �Her�, which would be contrary to the Scripture which says that �She� shall be presented to Christ, spotless and without wrinkle or blemish. (Ephesians 5:27) The bloody whippings, beheadings, torture and beatings that members of the Church endures during the Tribulation will not defile, bruise, wrinkle or prevent �Her� from being presented to Christ as a spiritually spotless Bride. The martyrs for Christ around the world today, those under the altar in Revelation 6:9-11 and those beheaded in Revelation 20:4, would certainly be presented to Christ along with the rest of the Church, not rejected because of their physical sufferings. Christ's shed blood on the cross of Calvary makes the Bride spotless and without wrinkle, it has nothing to do with physical abuse of the Church. A person's bloody, physical, earth body will not enter the Presence of Christ. A redeemed spiritual body like His own body will enter His Presence. We have to be careful not to confuse the physical with the spiritual. No one or nothing can spot, bruise, or blemish the eternal Bride of Christ. When Peter entered Christ's Presence after his own torture and crucifixion, he certainly didn�t enter with physical blood on him. When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fiery furnace, did they smell of smoke and have burned clothing after their deliverance? The Church is in a spiritual warfare and will continue to undergo both spiritual and physical persecution until Christ returns. Christ tells us in Matthew 24:9, "Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you; and you shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake." 5 - There will be 2 WITNESSES.These two WITNESSES will proclaim the Gospel of Christ for 3 � years. Most likely that will be during the last half of the 7 years. They will have power from God to perform mighty acts, such as to turn waters to blood. Some say that one of them will be Elijah because of Malachi 4:5-6. Some think they will be Enoch and Moses. They will be killed and their bodies left in the street. People from around the world will be so glad about their deaths, that they will send gifts to one another. After 3 � days they will stand and ascend to Heaven. At the very same hour, there will be an earthquake so great, that it will destroy 1/10th of the city of Jerusalem and kill 7,000 men. 6 - There will be a �7th TRUMPET GATHERING�.This event is explained on the preceding index page. CLICK HERE to go to 7th TRUMPET GATHERING. 7 - There will be an ARMAGEDDON.Revelation l9:ll-2l gives detail of a breathtaking scene. When Christ comes to face the armies that are lined up to battle at Armageddon, (Revelation l6:l3-l6) Heaven will open and He shall appear, seated on a white horse. He is called Word of God, Faithful and True. His eyes will be like flames of fire, He will have many crowns on His head. His white robe will be dipped in blood. (Isaiah 63:2-3) He will come with His name King of Kings and Lord of Lords written on His robe and thigh. Armies (Angels or Saints?) from Heaven, clothed in fine, white, clean linen and on white horses, will be following Him. How different His Second Coming will be from the first time He was on Earth. He allowed a band of officers from the scribes, chief priests and Pharisees to take Him away. They came for Him with clubs, swords, lanterns and torches. (Isaiah 53 Matthew 26:47,50,53 John l8:3) He allowed Himself to be scourged, mocked, spat upon, crowned with thorns and put to death on a cross, (Matthew 27:27-3l John l0:l7) but He arose on the third day. (Matthew 28:6) He ascended to Heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, His Father. (Mark l6:l9) When He Returns to judge and to rule with a rod of iron, there will not be just a big mob trying to put an end to Him, there will be the Beast (Global System) and the kings of the Earth and their mighty armies, that will try. He will not be taken, He will stand in Heavenly power and make war. He will not die, He will slay them with the Sword/Word of His mouth. (Isaiah 66:l5 Hebrews 3:l2 James 5:9 Revelation l9:ll-l6,l9-2l) Armageddon, Tel-Megiddo, is a valley between the coastal city of Haifa and the Sea of Galilee, but South of them. It is Southwest of Nazareth, and just outside the Northwest edge of the West Bank. 8 - There will be a MILLENNIUM.The Kingdom Of This World Is Become The Kingdom Of Our Lord And Of His Christ, And He Shall Reign Forever And Ever." Revelation 11:15 " ... And His Servants Shall Serve Him; And They Shall See His Face; ..." Revelation 22:3,4 What Will It Be Like With Jesus On Earth Again? What will it be like? Are you ready to serve Jesus Christ? He, the Holy One, Lord, Savior, Redeemer, and Mighty One of Jacob, will carry out His Millennial Reign with Justice and Righteousness. Jesus, as King, will live among His people and rejoice over His people with singing. Just imagine hearing Jesus Christ sing, as His disciples did so long ago as they walked side by side with Him on the dusty roads of Israel, imagine seeing Him face to face. Jerusalem will be a place of rejoicing. A pure river, with crystal clear water, will flow out of Christ�s Throne. Trees will grow along the river. They will yield fruit every month and the leaves will be for healing the nations. 9 - There will be a GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT.The Great White Throne of God will appear, and all the remaining dead will be resurrected to stand before God for judgment. Anyone not written in the Book of Life will be cast into the Lake of Fire. (Daniel 7:9-l0 Revelation 20:5a,ll-l5) Just imagine the stunning reality that this judgment will be, to the resurrected. They will stand before the Holy God of the Universe. Among the multitude will be those, who in their lifetime, sat back in smirking condescension, declaring Jesus of Galilee a myth, ridiculing prayer to Him as God, and expressing disbelief in His miracles. There will also be those who were honest and hard working, but they just didn�t take the Bible seriously, while on Earth. (John 3:36) Philippians 2:l0-ll says that at the name of Jesus very knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. That is a promise from God, so if a person doesn�t do it here on Earth, he will do it after death, in the Presence of God. Copyright � 1999 by CDL
