| ~Okay, so for all of ya'll who do not know: AAMB stands for "All American Marching Band" the name of the marching band here at Purdue. The reason behind it can be found on the official band site, here: along with other great information! |

| ~ One really cool thing we have done already is to play Hail Purdue in the fountain! omg it was so much fun! (The trumpet site should have a link to pictures of it) |
| ~Yeah, some of the people are really crazy, but such is life when you have 71 (or so) people! But the parties definately are very fun, despite the fact that strange stuff goes on. |

| ~It is so different here as far as sheer numbers of people goes... There are more people in the trumpet section here than there have been in Dwenger's entire band for a while, if not ever. I am not sure of how big it has ever numbered. Someone should look it up..... |
| ~I finally get to play 2nd! No seriously, I had gotten so sick of playing first and tiring myself out. Now, I get tired out because the marching is more intense. And totally the opposite of what I am used to. But at least I am used to the left foot step, (finally!!) It's just the chair step that is hard to get the knack of..... |
| A very moving poem. It is read at every AAMB pregame show. September 10th, 2005 at my first game, I was not playing during it, because of being an alternate. Because of that I was standing at attention by my ladder, just listening to the words and soaking it all in. And just after it started, there was a breeze and a chill went down my spine so bad... For a real explanation of it all, CLICK HERE. I am afraid I would not do the story justice without copying and pasting the whole thing, and I do not feel like doing that...... |
