| ABOUT US | ||||||
| Hi! We're Bryan and Bonnie, the haunters behind 5by5 Creations. Behind the name... 5by5 comes from the TV show BUFFY The Vampire Slayer where rebel slayer Faith says she's okay by using the phrase "5 by 5". We think it captures the feeling that everything is fine when you're haunting! Learn more about what makes us tick on MySpace. Location... We're located in Elizabethtown, PA just south of Harrisburg in Lancaster County (better known for the Amish than for our haunts). Early every October the graveyard appears in our yard and seems to get bigger and bigger each year. Haunt Themes... Our yard haunt has grown from a simple graveyard to a more elabortately themed haunt. 2004's new and improved theme was Dr. Doom's Revenge where trick-or-treaters traveled through the graveyard and along a path to a covered 'lab' on our back porch where they had to confront Dr. Doom to save the graveyard. It was a big hit! 2005 brought terror with the evil witch Countess Tortura and her Executioner in the Dungeon of Doom. Check out a recap of the full story and pictures in HAUNT 2005. 2006 frightened the visitors who entered Skull Woods. Pirate ghosts, hidden treasure and a more elaborate back yard display awaited trick-or-treaters. Visitors found that Captain Cutthroat doesn't like to share his treasure or his candy! The full story is available in HAUNT 2006. 2007 introduced visitors to the real Pumpkin King, Jonas Quash, who was responsible for the deaths of many townspeople. The enormous scarecrows were a crowd hit and the cornstalks added even more drama to the walkthrough. The full story and pictures are available in HAUNT 2007. 2008 will introduce the Revenge of the Gray Ghosts, a civil war era tale full of lost love, black magic and murderous spirits bent on revenge. Visit us Halloween night for the walk through and learn more at HAUNT 2008 or watch our video on YouTube. Props... We get a lot of our ideas on the Internet, but some... like our entry gates... were our own creation. The lighted CEMETERY sign is texturized to feel like stone and definitely adds character to our haunt. Learn more about our creations in PROPS. |
