Our Faith...

This is a very important page for us. Others may or may not place as much importance in the spiritual life as we do but to us there is little that is more important in our lives. We attend the Le Roy Christian Church in our hometown. We have been attending there for over 7 years now and both Jack and Nikki were baptised there. Jean is also a Christian (in fact she is the one that led Jack back to the faith) and was baptized in the local Baptist Church (where we attended before moving to the Christian Church). I am also proud to say that Michael was baptized at Little Galilee Christian Assembly in the new swimming pool!
Our desire is to hear only the name of Christ to proclaim unity of his followers; and this unity is possible if Christ is followed.
HIS example must become our pattern in life.
HIS gospel must become our message!
HIS commands must become our obedience and
HIS church must become our first love.
HE must become our all as we seek to glorify God - the Father, who gave his only begotten Son for us.

Our Church family has adopted a new Mission Statement that we are adhering to.

The Mission of the Le Roy Christian Church is
to Reaching those outside of Christ,
to Evangelizing those whom we reach,
to Ddisciple those whom we evangelize,
to Involve every disciple in meaningful service.

Miracles and Such...

God often works miracles in our lives. Oft-times, however, we do not know how to recognize these miracles. This is where vigilance and meditation upon all aspects of our lives come into play. In order to see the difference that God makes in our lives we must first be willing to acknowledge God's dominance over our lives. I am not attempting to proselytize or convert anyone to my faith. I am merely going to talk about Christianity and different ways that God works through us to make miracles happen.

Miracles can be anything from a cancerous tumor disappearing (either through medication or without medication) to something as simple as a smile on a child's face. The path to miracles can also be as varied as well. Some of the things that I do to help is to ask the Lord for intercession of our lives for myself and others. This is why I have a link to the World Prayer Center, a trans-denominational prayer site and to the World Network of Prayer, a Pentecostal site for prayer concerns. If you are in need of prayer then by all means please utilize these pages. These people have committed themselves and their time to keeping your requests in prayer.

Youth Groups and Volunteerism...

We also believe that our church's future is held in the legacy of our youth. It is a very rewarding and fun to dedicate your time and resources to become sponsors of the children in your church. To meet every Sunday evening through the school year for one hour will become an influence in those children's lives that is irreplaceable. Teach the children by utilizing games, singing songs, prayer, and learning about Jesus Christ. This is an opportunity for each adult sponsor to make a difference in the theological upbringing of the children in our church family. We also advocate special activities such as a Lock-Ins (an overnight slumber party of sorts), a talent show, a wiener roast and and hay rack ride, as well as an awards night. Adults who help to teach are all volunteers and receive no monetary gain but receive a higher spiritual gain for their efforts. I encourage all adults to become more involved in your children's lives. There is no greater reward than to have a child you have mentored come up to you and thank you for your efforts in bringing them to Christ Jesus!
