Trash Pick-up: Club members met on Saturday morning in the school project to pick-up trash around school grounds. After being given gloves and trash bags, Interactors divided up to cover the ground quickly. Only a little while later, Interactors were able to go home, leaving the school grounds litter free.

Staff Thank Yous: Interactors gathered after school one day to put together staff thank yous, which included a lot of different candies. Then a note was attached to the bags thanking them for all the hard work they do keeping our school clean and repaired.
Landscaping the School Plot: Club members met on Saturday morning by our school plot to help pull up weeds and mulch. Quickly Interactors found an area of the plot to work on and pulled up all the weeds. Once this was done, Interactors mulched the bed, preparing it for later when we would plant flowers.

Spring Blood Drive: Each year Interact hosts two blood drives at the high school. Before the spring blood drive, Interactors set up a table during lunches for two weeks to sign-up people to donate blood and to give them their appointment cards. On the day of blood drive, Interactors came to school at 6:20 to help set up for the blood drive. Then several Interactors worked during each block that day making sure that the donors had drinks and a snack before they left, checking people off as they arrived, and directing them through the multiple steps before they donated blood.

Spring Car Wash: Each year Interact has two car washes that serve as fundraisers for all of the clubs projects in the year to come. Each club member is required to collect $25 worth of donations. Those that give donations are encouraged to come and get their car washed for free on the scheduled day. On the day of car wash, members begin to arrive before 10:00 to set up for a day of hard work. Once the car wash begins, Interactors set up an assembly line, so they can get the cars washed as quickly as possible. Someone takes over wetting the cars before wash, others washing the car, and yet another rinses the car off. During this time, select Interactors direct the cars where to drive, give them information about the club, and accept any donations that are offered. Typically the club washes up to 100 cars in a single day. The Interactors always work really hard, but have a lot of fun doing it. This particular car wash had to be cancelled after only two hours because of a tornado warning and pending storms. Thankfully, the club still had the money that the Interactors had collected, so we had enough funds to continue our projects the coming year.

Fall Car Wash: Each year Interact has two carwashes to raise funds for the projects in the coming year. Interactors are required to raise a set amount of money in donations for each car wash. This time, the club decided to lower the amount everyone had to raise from $25 to $20. Unfortunately this car wash had to be cancelled because of rain. Since it was so late in the fall season, it was impossible to find a weekend to reschedule the car wash for, but we had the donations that members had already collected, so their was enough money to be able to complete our projects in the coming year.

Rotary Pancake Breakfast: Interactors assisted serving at the Rotary Pancake Breakfast that was held as a fundrasier for the Cookeville Breakfast Rotary Club. Interactors filled in wherever help was needed. It was a great time for Interactors and Rotarians to get to know each other and form bonds that would allow for the opportunity to do more projects together in the coming year.
4th Tuesday of Month in 2003-2004
Board Meetings: On the fourth Tuesday of each month our club's board meets to discuss project ideas and other club business. This year Chris Soard, member of Cookeville Breakfast Rotary, has attended our board meetings. This allows us to have a link to one of our sponsoring Rotary clubs, as well as keep them informed about what is going on in our club.

RYLA Conference: Jonathan McNabb, Amy Walker, Drew Webb, Jessica Greenway, and Chuck Acheson were nominated to attend RYLA this year. They arrived bright and early at Camp Nakanawa ready to meet other young leaders and learn valulable leadership skills. They all had a blast that day participating in the many scheduled events, and after a long day, they finally returned home, ready to share what they had learned with t he club.
