Rotary Golf Classic: Club members helped out at this major fundraising project for the Cookeville Breakfast Rotary Club. Several shifts were scheduled for each day of the tournament, and Interactors would sit with a Rotarian to serve as witness if anyone received a hole-on-one. If someone did receive a hole-in-one, they won a truck, jet ski, or vacation tickets.
2003-2004
Cookeville Breakfast Rotary Meetings: Interactors attended several Breakfast Rotary Meetings. This allowed the Interactors to get to know the Rotarians, as well as, learn what projects Rotary is involved in. Attending the meetings, also made it easier to set up joint projects.
2003-2004
Cookeville Noonday Rotary: Several Interactors attended Noonday Rotary meetings throughout the year. These meetings helped keep their club informed about what was going on in the Interact club, as well as, allowing our club to learn more about what Rotary does. It was also a great opportunity to get to meet the Rotarians.
Rotary Pancake Breakfast: Club members met on Saturday morning at Hyder-Burks ready to get to work. Throughout the morning they would carry pancake batter from the kitchen to the cooking area in the back, carry food to the serving table, and pick up trash at the tables. The Interactors all had a great time and were able to get to know many of the Rotarians. Some of them were even allowed to help cook. The day was a great success for both clubs.

2003 Lock-in: Each year Interact has a lock-in once new club membership is done. This event serves as a time for the existing club members to meet the new club members. Throughout the night, we eat, play games, and hang out with friends. At midnight, the induction ceremony begins. The new members are asked to walk to the front where they are pinned and receive a candle which is lighted. Graduating Seniors are then recognized and congratulated for their hard work; then asked to blow out their candles. The next morning everyone gets up and cleans the building, and then goes home to get some much needed sleep.

First Club Meeting: EInteractors gather to enjoy pizza provided by the club on this evening. It is a great time for Interactors to get to know new members or to greet friends they have not seen over the summer. After everyone has their pizza, the meeting begins. Members are welcomed back for another year, and plans for the club in the coming year are discussed.

Completed projects are also reviewed, and members thanked for their hard work. |

Scrapbook Meetings: Each year the club makes a scrapbook for the projects it has done over the past year. The scrapbook serves as a reminder about all the fun times we have had, as well as, what we have accomplished. Scrapbook meetings are a great time for club members to just hang out together and have fun while working.
August 2003-2004
2003 District Interact Conference: This is a fun time for all club members who are able to go. It is a time to have fun and hang out with friends while getting excited about the club and what it does. Club members are also able to meet Interactors from other schools and form friendships, which allow for joint projects to be done in the future. Conference is a reward after a year of hard work.
First Board Meeting: The first board meeting is a time of fellowship when all the new board members begin to get to know each other and prepare to make it a great year for the club. Snacks and drinks are provided, and the Interactors sit and talk or play pool before the meeting begins. In the meeting, plans for the club in the coming year are discussed.

Liz Williams, Newsletter Editor, is responsible for getting the newsletter together in time to be distributed at the meetings. |
Foreign Exchange Students: Exchange students are always welcomed into Interact. They are welcome to come to any meetings and participate in any projects while they are here. These students allow the club to better understand other cultures.
