Christmas for the Needy: The club decided to purchase gifts for the children in a needy family, as well as Christmas dinner. One Saturday, President Kim Duff and Vice-President went shopping at K-Mart to purchase a multitude of gifts, including everything from legos to remote-control cars.

Kids Putnam: Kids Putnam is a daycare for handicapped and low-income children. Each day after school this week, two Interactors go to the daycare to help out any way they can. They clean up rooms, read to and play with the children, and just provide a little extra attention to these special children.
December 14-15, 2004
American Legion Community Food Drive: The club decided to extend its school food drive to the community last year and decided to do so again this year. Interactors placed paper bags with notes explaining the project in mailboxes around the community. Those who wished to contribute canned food, filled the bag with cans and then sat it by their mailbox the next day. Interactors drove around to pick up the food. The community contributed much food, which helped American Legions be able to put together many food baskets.
December 20, 2004
American Legion Canned Food Sorting: Interact members met at the Veterans building and joined in on an assembly line process formed to put together food baskets for the needy in the community. The bags contained such things as sugar, cornflakes, chicken, canned food, and cookies. Over four hundred bags were put together this year and distributed to families within the community.

Turkeys for Needy Families: Interactors wanted to do something to ensure that the underpriviledged in the community had a nice Christmas dinner, so the club decided to purchase twenty turkeys to give to families. With the help of the Housing Authority, we determined which families would receive turkeys, and then delivered them door to door on a Saturday morning.

Toys for Tots: Interactors helping sort food for American Legions were asked to come back the next day and help hand out toys for the Toys for Tots program. These Interactors arrived bright and early the next morning at 6:00 and helped select toys to give to children of various ages. After a many hours of work, Interactors and other workers were fed lunch, cleaned up, and then finally were able to go home.
