Control Column
Site under construction. PPE must be worn. 20/04/08
This is how I came to get the name of my site.
This is the top grip of a Hawker Hunter control column. I originally built a site to try and identify the particular aircraft it came from but it seems that is not practical. All I discovered was that it could have been fitted to Hunter F1, F2, F4, F5 or T7. Of course if you know how to match it to a specific airframe I would love to hear from you!!

Welcome to my home page. I'm not sure what this site is going to contain yet! Very bad planning on my part.

preparing for a winched launch. The winch was a converted fire engine.
I am trying to find my log book in order to add some more info!
It was a weeks gliding 'holiday' and as it was summertime the weather wasn't too good (nobody mentioned global warming then!). I think I had about 13 launches.

Please note, dear visitor, that this site is not intended to inform, entertain or educate. I have created it for purely selfish reasons - I wanted to know how to do it! However, if any of the above verbs do apply to you - enjoy it and please sign the guestbook.

Another wannabee! Me circa 1956 in cockpit of Gloster Meteor at Tangmere. I had just landed after giving a superb display of aerobatic flying. Yeh, in my dreams!
Like me now, the photograph is a bit wrinkled.
