This is how I came to get the name of my site. This is the top grip of a Hawker Hunter control column. I originally built a site to try and identify the particular aircraft it came from but it seems that is not practical. All I discovered was that it could have been fitted to Hunter F1, F2, F4, F5 or T7. Of course if you know how to match it to a specific airframe I would love to hear from you!! More pics

Welcome to my home page. I'm not sure what this site is going to contain yet! Very bad planning on my part.

Kent Gliding Club 1967. Me, Bill Bailey & Slingsby T21 'Cirrus' preparing for a winched launch. The winch was a converted fire engine. I am trying to find my log book in order to add some more info! It was a weeks gliding 'holiday' and as it was summertime the weather wasn't too good (nobody mentioned global warming then!). I think I had about 13 launches.

Please note, dear visitor, that this site is not intended to inform, entertain or educate. I have created it for purely selfish reasons - I wanted to know how to do it! However, if any of the above verbs do apply to you - enjoy it and please sign the guestbook.

Another wannabee! Me circa 1956 in cockpit of Gloster Meteor at Tangmere. I had just landed after giving a superb display of aerobatic flying. Yeh, in my dreams! Like me now, the photograph is a bit wrinkled.
