Welcome to our site
Doing environmental conservation volunteer work, whether it is in your home country at the weekends or for a year on the other side of the world, is an amazing experience. Not only do you get the chance to do something extremely valuable with your free time, but through volunteer work many experiences with wildlife and nature are accessible to you that would not normally be possible.
What are we trying to do?
We would like to promote conservation volunteering in
general, get more people involved, and provide a place where volunteers can share their
experiences of particular projects and where prospective volunteers looking for a project
can get a personal insight into what they can expect and judge which projects are most
suitable for them.
We also provide links to projects and to organisations acting as agencies for volunteer
placements so that potential volunteers can find further information. We are in no
way connected with any of these groups.
Who are we?
My name is Bob Carter. Myself and my wife Sofia have been doing volunteer projects for a number of years and have found that our interest in conservation work just keeps growing. Reports from projects we have been to are included on this site. We hope that you will send us your own project reviews so that we can put together a really useful database of projects worldwide.
