 3. OPENING PRAYER

Loving God who loved the mankind by sacrificing Your life, we thank you for giving us the opportunity to attend this conference. God you have given us this opportunity which many others have lost. You have given us the opportunity to realize that the harvest is plenty, but the workers are few. We realized your penury "Whom shall I send?" Lord give us the grace to submit ourselves by saying "Here am I, send me". In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ – Amen.

 4. THANKS GIVING

" O give thanks to the LORD, call on his name, make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to him, sing praises to him, tell of all his wonderful works!"

(Psalms 105:1-2)

Response : We praise You Lord, always.

L: Loving Father, when we craved for the peace of mind you poured on us peace by raising the curtain that hid it from us -

R: We praise you, Lord always.

L:  Loving God who made us realize the needs of our country India and gave us the strength to respond to it positively –

R: We praise you, Lord always.

L: Caring God who challenged us to give to You what little we have, after demonstrating that if we submit our ‘little’ to you, you will make use of it to sustain the needs of a multitude –

R: We praise you, Lord always.

L: Loving Father who showered on us immense blessings so that we may be filled with God's love and sense of responsibility –

R: We praise you, Lord always.

 5. CONFESSION

"Lord, hear my prayer! In your righteousness listen to my plea; answer me in your faithfulness!"

(Psalms 143:1)

Response: Loving God, cleanse us by forgiving all our trespasses.

L: When injustice and corruption crept into the society we not only failed to react to it, but also identified with them to some extent –

R: Loving God, cleanse us by forgiving all our trespasses.

L: Even when we were sure that we were safe in the arms of the Lord, we deviated from your path and ran after worldly pleasures –

R: Loving God, cleanse us by forgiving all our trespasses.

L: We closed our eyes to our brothers who roamed in unwanted ways as victims to drugs and alcohol. -

R: Loving God, cleanse us by forgiving all our trespasses.

L: We lived in pomp and pride without obeying our parents, without respecting others and without caring for the destitute –

R: Loving God, cleanse us by forgiving all our trespasses.

L: Our Lord is worried "whom shall I send?" The Sunday School calls "Come to Jesus". We are conscious of these – yet instead of responding to these we ran after the pleasures and attractions of the world –

R: Loving God, cleanse us by forgiving all our trespasses.

6. READING THE WORD OF GOD                     Luke.  6: 27 - 38

 7. INTERCESSION

L: Let us praise the Lord who enabled Mar Thoma Sunday School Samajam to work effectively for ten decades. Let us pray to God who has helped us so far, to continue in the future also. Let us request our Lord to enable the Samajam to carry out all the events planned for centenary celebrations efficiently.

L: Let us pray to God to accept the noble endeavors of all that work for the Samajam in the office, fields, Sunday Schools and in all such places. Let us pray to God to give them the divine blessings to labor irrespective of their difficulties and hardships and to win many for Christ.

L: Let us pray for the children who attend this conference and also for the leaders and for those ho prepared the food and made all the other arrangements. Let us pray to God to help us to go with the belief that we are sent by God when we go from here and also to live and work accordingly.

In the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ – Amen.

 8. COMMITING PRAYER (All together)

We know that the harvest is plenty but the workers are few. Dear Father, we submit ourselves at your feet. Father, take us, break us, cleanse us and use us. Dear Lord, mould us to be your workers and send us. Father, accept our dedication as a fragrant offering and bless us – Amen.
