R: Blessed is He that has come, and is to come again in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest. L: * Holy art thou, O God R: Holy art thou, Almighty Lord L: Holy art thou, Immortal Lord R: O Lord, the Messiah, who was Vcrucified for us, have mercy on us. * (Repeat three times) L: O Lord, have mercy on us. R: O Lord, have mercy on us and bless us. L: O Lord, accept our prayers and worship and have mercy on us. R: Glory be to you, O God. L: Glory be to you, O Creator. R: O Christ, the Ling who has compassion on your sinful servants, have mercy on us, glory be to you, Bless us O Lord. L: Our father who art in heaven R: Hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom, Power and the Glory for ever – Amen. 3. OPENING PRAYER Our loving Jesus who has affectionately said let the children come to me, we thank you for your grace to give us an opportunity to come to your presence through this conference. Let this opportunity help us to heed your voice which echoes "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Prepare us O Lord to surrender ourselves completely at your feet saying "Here am I! Send me". Shower on us your grace to stand firm on this decision. In the name of Jesus Christ – Amen. 4. THANKS GIVING "Sing aloud to God our strength; shout for joy to the God of Jacob! Raise a song, sound the timbrel, the sweet lyre with the harp" (Psalms 81:1-2) Response : We praise you O Lord. L: For the Mar Thoma Sunday School Samajam that prepares us to stand close to the Lord with determination in this era when objections and oppositions increase – R: We praise you, O Lord. L: For all the Sunday School workers who incessantly sound in our ears through Sunday Schools, Camps, Conferences and KUVBS the call to come to Jesus – R: We praise you, O Lord. L: For the grace that provided us with leaders to help the Mar Thoma Sunday School Samajam celebrate the centenary to grow spiritually and activity through out these hundred years – R: We praise you, O Lord. L: For your grace to arrange this conference which enables us to spend some time in your presence hearing your sweet voice, keeping us aloof from the attractions of the surroundings and the other dealings of life – R: We praise you, O Lord. 5. CONFESSION "Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from dread of the enemy" (Psalms 64:1) Response : Forgive us O, merciful Lord. L: Our lapse to listen to your call as we were absorbed by the words of the political leaders – R: Forgive us, O, merciful Lord. L: Our attempt to evade with lame excuses the opportunities to learn and teach the Word of God – R: Forgive us, O, merciful Lord. L: Our evasion even after we were convinced that your question 'Where is your brother?" is to encourage us to seek the drop outs from Sunday School – R: Forgive us, O, merciful Lord. L: Our negligence to tend and keep the garden even when we know well that man was created for that sole purpose – R: Forgive us, O, merciful Lord. L: Our indifference to find out the workers or to put up ourselves to it even after we were convinced that the fields were ready for harvest and the harvest was plenty – R: Forgive us, O, merciful Lord. 6. READING THE WORD OF GOD Isaiah 6: 1- 8 7. INTERCESSION L: Let us pray for God's grace that paved the way for the study of the Word of God which is the source of all blessings and for the grace that found out the right persons to carry it out. Let us praise the Lord for the blessings we are getting through it. Let us pray earnestly to give us all help to carry on this learning process. L: Let us pray for the Mar Thoma Sunday School Samajam that has entered into the hundredth year of its activity after successfully and effectively carrying out its mission for the past ninety nine years. Let us pray that the centenary celebrations shall not confine into the carrying out of certain programmes, instead it shall be a means to build up heroic soldiers for the building up of the Kingdom of God. L: Let us remember the selfless workers that work inside and outside the office for enriching the activities of the Samajam. Let us pray that their individual and joint endeavor shall be a means to build up enriched Sunday Schools and to glorify the name of the Lord. 8. CONCLUDING PRAYER (All together) Loving Father and eternal God, we thank you for arranging this conference for the study of the Word of God and for hearing Your call. Help us O, Lord to surrender ourselves before Your words and to submit ourselves for the building up of the Kingdom of God. Help us Lord to enter into the new century with you and to show to those who are in darkness the wonderful light which is you and you alone – Amen. 9. BENEDICTION |
