Tim
Mcgraw
Few country
artists have shown the ability to maintain the
plateau of success that Tim McGraw has retained over
the time. Boasting of his strong tour band beside
him in the Dancehall Doctors in the Catskill
Mountains, Tim McGraw has successfully bucked
country music traditions. In this 15-song collection
McGraw has surpassed the conventions of how
mainstream country records are made and has come up
with some of the most compelling, gritty, inventive
arrangements and loose, effortlessly soulful
performances that enhance the songs' emotional
impact while driving McGraw to some of his most
heartfelt vocal performances to date. Success in
several different realms of the music and
entertainment industry, it has come as no wonder
that when Tim McGraw schedules a tour it becomes an
instant success. The meek Louisiana-born superstar
has never been shy about cashing trends or
challenging expectations of his crazy fans. McGraw
participated in the Live 8: The Long Walk to Justice
Concert series, his performance coupled with his
dear wife Faith Hill at the Rome, Italy concert on
July 2, 2005. The concert was a part of the effort
to get G8 leaders to address the charitable crises
in Africa. McGraw's performance of "Live Like You
Were Dying" was one of the most re-played
performances in Live 8 television recaps. With his
album, Live Like You Were Dying, being played
repeatedly Tim McGraw is definitely going to stay in
Nashville for quite some time. With an enduring
status as one of country music's most popular and
respected performers, Tim McGraw has topped himself
in his pursuit of new creative options.
Tim McGraw
concert ticket sales have rocketed over the past 5
years, making his tours consistently a great
success. In 2005, he received Grammy nominations for
Country Album of the Year for Live Like You Were
Dying and a song nomination for his duet with rap
artist Nelly titled “Over and Over,” which became a
chartbuster on the Billboard Urban charts for 11
weeks. Tim McGraw has also wowed the fans across the
country with his country hits “Don’t Take the Girl,”
“I Like It, I Love It,” “Indian Outlaw,” “One of
These Days,” and many others. McGraw is best-known
for his hit single, "Indian Outlaw," a hot single
that made him a star in the mid-'90s. it was only
after the “Indian Outlaw” the hits started popping
out his way, initiating multi-platinum albums and
sell-out concerts. McGraw spent the second half of
2000 on the Soul 2 Soul 2000 tour, and played to
sellout crowds in 64 cities (including a sold-out
show at New York's Madison Square Garden), becoming
one of the year's five top-grossing concert tours in
all genres and number in country music. He is one of
only three men ever to add poise to the cover of
Redbook, his NBC Live Concert Special in 2002 ranked
higher than specials by U2 and Paul McCartney. He
and his band--many of whom are still with him--took
to the road to perfect the sound that continues to
make his concerts among the industry's most
exciting. Tim began his musical career singing in
local clubs and also worked as a demo singer.
