
Departs Christchurch in The South Island of New Zealand and drives
via the mighty Canterbury Plains to Mount Cook the highest peak
in Australasia at a height of 3754 meters.
This mountain is a picture on its own, but it also has 12 glaciers
surrounding it. Before getting to this pinnacle, you will visit
Lake Tekapo, a glacial lake. While here you may choose to treat
yourself to a scenic flight to view the glaciers and Mount Cook
(at extra cost).
While still in your first afternoon, you will climb to the Alpine
Resort amongst the Southern Alps where you will stay in accommodation
for the night. Later that afternoon you will be free to discover
what the national park has to offer and take some photographs.
The next morning you may choose to take a glacial walk or a ski
plane flight (at extra cost). Then you will board the coach and
return back to Christchurch and depart the tour at about 6:15
pm.
