Miss Hunter & Professor

The Company at The Theater

Raj trifle Enjoyed by All

An expedition was mounted on Sunday, after Breakfast, to Bellas Knapp Barrow.  The professor pointed out that it unusually faced N S, some measurements were taken and a young man Pollenbury popped up and seemed eager to join the party, no one knew him and Artie was deeply suspicious after catching him out in a lie, he then found a wallet belonging to Pollenbury with a strange message referring to “Enoch” and a sigil.

On the 11th of September 1897, Lord Brocket invited friends to his Cheltenham residence.  Saturday afternoon, the weather being fine, the party tasted the waters at the pumprooms.  They were generally agreed not to be as pleasant as those in Buxton...

In the evening the party proceeded to the theater, the performance was one of Oscar Wilde's finest, “The Importance of being Ernest” a most amusing piece.

Dinner was served afterwards at Artie’s house with a special  curry for the Major and raj trifle.  Artie and Mr. Pitt Rivers ritually “Mummified” Gaston with assorted artifacts brought back from Egypt and two unusual fans bought in London, these were recognized by Athena as belonging to her friend Katherine, now strangely missing.

How the ladies laughed when Gaston finally rose from the grave all covered in bandages!

A few weeks later the barrow was purchased on behalf of the government, Arties flat was burgled and two fans were stolen.
