| A Port Credit woman was taken into custody by Peel Regional Police Wedensday morning after climbing a 300 year old tree at nearby 26 Front St. in an effort to save it from being chopped down. Police and Mississauga firefighters were called to the scene at about 8:30 a.m. by the property owner. The woman eventually climbed down from her perch at 10:30 a.m., said Seargeant Peter Morgan. Police took Laurie Kallis, 35, of Mississauga Rd., into custody for resisting arrest and trespassing. |
