Glenda Ramirez Single Mother, 29 years old AKF is a noble organization. Last year, I adopted Snowy from their rescue shelter. Before this, I had difficulty juggling my daughter's energy and earning a steady income to keep us alive. After adopting a gentle adult dog (which was a lot less of a hassle than raising a puppy), things at home started changing. Snowy became my daughter's playmate and the time I used to spend running around with her was used for productive activities like grocery, cooking, etc. The photo I've shared is that of my daughter and Snowy. Benjamin Button Teenage Actor, 23 years old I really think it is better to adopt a dog than to buy one. AKF provides so many loving dogs that are ready to home. It's not true what they say about older dogs being difficult to rehome. A few weeks after we took in Sharon, it was as though we had her since she was a puppy! So lovable! |
