After being rescued, the dogs are kept in the AKF Animal Rehabilitation and Rescue Center in Capas, Tarlac until they are adopted. The dogs will stay in our loving care for as long as it takes. This is why we need the support of animal lovers like you to sustain our growing number of dogs.

If I have any suspects for dog-meat trading, can I ask you to investigate on them?

Of course! Contact Us so we can talk about the details and make the necessary arrangements should it be highly likely that the said illicit business exists. If we are located too far away from the site, we will refer you to authorities who can help.

What do I do if I find an abandoned or abused dog?

Don't hesitate to reach us! View our Contact Us page for our details. If we cannot help you directly because of geographical reasons, we will make sure to refer you to authorities in your area who can help!

I can no longer take care of my adopted dog, what can I do?

It is possible that, for reasons such as asthma, long-term financial problems, etc., owners will have to give up their pets. We would gladly take them in if there's nothing else that can be done. However, for instances such as relocation, giving up your pet is not the only answer. We would gladly offer assistance and advice in whatever way we can to help you during relocation and other similar situations. Just contact us for any help.

What if my newly adopted dog misbehaves once I bring him home, what do I do?

First of all, DO NOT PANIC! The environment is new for your dog and he is still trying to adjust. Don't worry, we don't put up notorious dogs for adoption as well. We make sure they have been properly rehabilitated before handing them over to a new owner. Also, when you adopt a dog from AKF, we give you a list of steps in re-homing your pet. We also make ourselves easily available through phone and e-mail for urgent questions and situations. Rest assured, we will assist you all the way.

Instead of adopting online, can I go to your center and pick out a dog from there?

Of course! Even when you adopt online, we will still require you to meet the dog/s personally. Feel free to set an appointment with us.
