hah. as if the questionnaire was not enough fun, ryan felt the need to ask for more. silly silly boy. so we were sent on a scavenger hunt around the greater richmond area to document our interaction with the following items (all the while having a good time, laughing, and otherwise meeting all sorts of strange people):
arthur ashe monument (...in the middle of the street... the jogger said she is asked to take people's pic's all the time! who'd've known that about arthur?)
a man named bob (he must be alive)....the toughest of the bunch! we tried to find bob in public. are you bob? no was the #1 response there. we went in stores to read nametags. we asked our waiter, people at adjoining tables, evesdropped on introductions, even considered having bob paged... no bob. finally ryan came to tap to meet my friend bob and our troubles were solved.
someone we'd never met before in our whole lives (our new best friend byron! he was looking for his wife and kids...we hadn't seen them)
lunch (at baker's crust...still looking for bob)
the newspaper (starbucks provided the NYTimes, warming cocoa, and a snack)
the letter O greater than 6" in diameter (thank you carytown! so many choices!)
the number 3 ....nearing the end of the day.
wearing a hat (that's the NYTimes on my head...why it's so hard to remember how to make a paper hat, i don't know. we had a tough time at it....ryan triumphed with the winning design) |
