this year just everyone was in the mood for celebrating my birthday. so in the mood, in fact, that my level danced to the tune "in the mood" and we had the annual dance recital on my birthday (and the landmark theatre is closing soon for renovations...that, too). we were amazing, despite a shorter spring semester and therefore less time to learn the routines.
i was only in one number this year (tap 3/4), but that was enough, as i had a cold working on me and found that to be a challenging aspect. it was still a snappy number, though, three and a half minutes worth...we're so good.
of course my rotating fan club attended, with core members ryan and brenda showing newbies angela and jason the ropes of endurance while waiting for my number to get onstage. they hollered so wildly that i couldn't help but hear them... really! but they didn't shout my name, that'd be too...twelveish of them. ! ice cream was enjoyed by all as a post-performance treat, but we forgot to take pictures of that. we were enjoying the costumes on the street and laughing at the snootiness of some fellow customers. sillies.
we have pictures of the actual perfomance here....only because jason saved the day with his camera...yea jason! mine corrupted the rehearsal pictures! so much for that.
no, tracy did not throw him out of the theatre. he didn't use his flash. phew.
