the candy construction came at the begining of the festivities this year, what with the rearranged arrival schedule and all.  after the usual constructive brainstorming, brilliant ideas needing structural royal frosting (with teflon or steel fibers integrated), we settled on a candy ruined castle with a traditional cardboard structure.

all five kids joined in and fabrication was complete in no time.  it's an interactive castle, as the pretzels just like to add to the ruinedness and fall off randomly.  it adds to the character, i think.  AND we even made do with the limited jujubees - some years are off years for jujubees and this was one of them.

it's kinda like a wizard of oz thing.... the pictures are less saturated...then POOF we hit completion and they're huge with color...  !
