 1990 GT

Pictures

I bought this car in the fall of 1999.  It was completely bone stock except for Flowmaster mufflers.  It made a dyno proven 494.7 RWHP and 481.6 RWTQ  I drive it daily in the summer and it currently has about 135k miles on it.  It is dark titanium metallic in color with a 5 speed and sunroof.

Modifications:

Engine:  Trick Flow #2 cam, TFS 1.6 rr, Trick Flow Track Heat heads.  DSS main girdle and windage tray with TFS forged 9.0:1 pistons, stock rods and crank.  SFI balancer, ARP fasteners, and high volume oil pump.

Induction:  Polished S-trim (12 lbs), Reichard pulley, Trick Flow Street Heat intake, 80mm C&L mass air, 70mm Accufab throttle body.

Suspension: Excessive subframe connectors, Lakewood 70/30 and 50/50 shocks and struts, FMS Super Sport springs, 17x9 Cobra R wheels, 275/40zr17 & 245/45zr17 Eagle HP Ultras, Pro 3i LCA's, boxed stock UCA’s.

Exhaust: Full length BBK headers, 2 ½" off road H, 2 ½" catback, Flowtech Terminator mufflers.

Fuel System: 42lb injectors, 255lph in tank fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, Vortech fuel rails with AN lines.

Drive Line: 3.55 gears, SPEC stage 2 clutch, Steeda Tri-ax shifter, FMS aluminum driveshaft.  Stock T-5 transmission, axles and differential… for now.

Misc:, 180 degree thermostat, line lock, MSD BTM, MSD 6AL, , Moroso battery relocation kit, Shiftmaster EEC tuner, Poly motor/transmission mounts, Aluminum 2 line radiator, high flow water pump, 12" and 14" electric fans w/adjustable thermostat.  Autometer boost, fuel pressure, oil pressure, water temperature and air/fuel gauges.  5” Autometer tachometer with shift light.

Stereo: Alpine CD deck, Pioneer 3 way components, 1600 watt BOSS amplifier and dual 1000 watt DVC Volenhag subwoofers. (cheap!)

Track Times:

Best ET: 12.47 seconds*

Best MPH: 124 MPH

Not a lot of track time on this car.  The 12.48 had a 2.2 60 ft. time and wasn't complete due to a blown head gasket.  All runs were made in full street trim, w/swaybar, ½ tank of 93 octane fuel, stereo system, on 17” “runflat” Goodyear Eagles.  Race weight was 3420 lbs.  Its also lowered with gas shocks, so that just about sums up my excuses.  With a clutch and traction it’s capable of 10’s given the trap speed.  But since it is a street car, I will be shooting for high 11's in the '06 season.
