| OOC Notes: The Gifted is indeed an homage team to the X-Men, the most revolutionary force in modern comics today. Next to Superman, few, if any, comic books have had near the effect on popular culture or the comic industry as the X-Men have. They continue to push the envelope and ride the cutting edge of comic book literature even today. As such, some of them have been instrumental in shaping our comic book experiences and we felt it only right to create a team, specifically designed to recognize them in City of Heroes. At the same time, we realize that creativity is of paramout importance, and so, although we keep many things, everything is subject to change: powers, certainly physical description, everything, as long as some of the essence of the character and team exist. The true purpose of the team is to have fun playing City of Heroes, that's it. We will find ourselves, defeating bad guys, representing the X-Men in a much different world and becoming very good, even lifelong friends, but the basis of playing any game is always to have fun. Whether anyone else chooses this goal or not, we will do so. |
