These lyrics will help non-Mandarin speaking fans to enjoy CoCo's Mandarin releases, through being able to see clearly what she is singing in Mandarin and also what each line means in English.
For each line of each song, three versions are provided: the first line is a phonetic transliteration of the Mandarin characters; the second line (enclosed in { } parentheses) gives a literal word-by-word translation into English; and the third line (commencing with --> symbol) provides a translation for meaning. When a line is repeated later in the song, not all three versions are necessarily provided at the points of repetition.
No attempt has been made at this stage to provide an accurate pinyin transliteration of the Chinese characters. While some purists may object, this section is aimed at general English-speaking fans, many of whom may have little knowledge or appreciation of pinyin anyway.
