This book uses a lot of lit humor in its focus on the inner thoughts and life of Jeanette, a young girl growing up in a very rigid Christian environment. When Jeanette transfers from private to public school her religious orientation makes it difficult for other students to accept her. Jeanette has no problem mixing her spiritual life with her love life.  Jeanette loves both God and girls.  Her mother and her church don�t get it and Jeanette learns to take care of herself.

Novel. Molly was born a bastard. She was adopted by a poor southern couple who want to see their daughter do better than them. Her step father gives her freedom to do what she wants and to be who she is. Her mother is absorbed with her rigid religious beliefs and attempts to restrict Molly�s natural being. Molly, a very strong-minded individual will not compromise who she is. She sets out to be herself, and to make something of herself.
