2003
May 24-26, 2003 Memorial Day
Although Memorial Day is supposed to be the start of summer, the weather has been cool at home and it's looks like it's been cooler up here, too. The flowers have not started blooming yet except for the wood anemone, which are all over the place. The false lily-of-valley are just about ready to pop. We looked for Jack-in-the-Pulpits, but didn't find any. We saw Trilliums blooming on the way up, but here, they are still green only. It has been a weird spring, since it appears to be dry, although the river and the ponds are high. It must have rained recently.
