Well, it's now February 16.  I am about 5 weeks into my internship and I have to say it's going great !   I've just started teaching a unit on Electricity.  My first lesson was on Static Electricity and it went quite well.
Unfortunately, we've lost quite a few days to bad weather here in St. John's, Newfoundland - 5 to be exact.  And that's only since the middle of January.  We're having quite the winter this year.
But the weather aside, everything is great and I look forward to the next 8 weeks.  And I'll keep everyone posted as to how it's going.
   Later!
Today is March 12.  It's been a few weeks since my last update.  I'm still here at Brother Rice Junior High.  I've added a few more classes to my teaching list, although they are all Grade 9 Science.  We've recently had our Science Fair, and it went great! We had a total of 275 projects entered into the Fair this year.  Let me tell you, there was quite a bit of preparation that went into setting that up and making sure that it ran smoothly.  With the exception of a few minor glitches, it pretty much ran like clockwork.
I'm still teaching the unit on Electricity - next class will be on thermocouples and the piezoelectric effect.  The students seem pretty interested in the topic, which definitely makes my life easier.
There's exactly one month left for my internship (I finish on April 12th).  Then I get a month off until I finish my Education Degree by completing six courses over the summer - 6!
     That's all for now!
