My all time favorite movies are Circle of Friends and Muriel's Wedding. (Unfortunately I couldn't find any links for these movies - if you have any ideas, email me). Here are some synopses and links to some more of my favorite movies.

   Circle of Friends
          Circle of Friends the story of Benny and her two childhood friends, Nan and Eve. It takes place in 1950's Ireland. Separated in childhood, Benny and Eve reunite with Nan in college, where thery experience a life time full of firsts - first kisses, first loves and first betrayals.

   Muriel's Wedding
          Muriel's Wedding is the Australian comedy hit. It's the story of the overweight, sociallly inept Muriel. That is until she decides to move in with her new best friend, Rhonda. Out of Porpoise Spit, and now in Sydney, Muriel changes her name to Mariel and decides to change her humdrum life, by becoming engaged. But there are surprises in store for Muriel/Mariel on her dream path to the altar.

Pride and Prejudice (BBC Version)
          (from the VHS Box Set)   Pride and Prejudice is the story of the lively and rebellious Elizabeth Bennet, one of five unmarried daughters living in the countryside of 19th century England. In a world where obtaining an advantageous marriage is a woman's sole occupation, Elizabeth's independent manner threatens her family's future. Will her romantic sparring with the mysterious, arrogant and wealthy Darcy end in misfortune - or will love's true nature prevail?

   Never Been Kissed
          This move is the story of Josie "Grossie" Gellar. A loser in high school, she gets the chance to re-live those lost years as an undercover reporter. Initially, it appears as though high school the second time round is really no better than the first go. Will Josie ever be popular, and get the guy?

   Silence of the Lambs
          This Academy Award winning film is a creepy and interesting look into the life of FBI agent Clarice Starling and her dealings with the imprisoned psychopathic, yet brilliant, Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Through her interviews with Dr. Lecter, Clarice hopes to learn more about another killer - Buffalo Bill. In order to find the madman, Clarice must get inside Lecter's mind. But will she do it in time to save Buffalo Bill's next victim?

   Fight Club
          (Taken from the VHS jacket, because they say it perfectly)
          A ticking-time-bomb insomniac and a slippery soap salesman channel primal male aggression into a shocking new form of therapy. Their concept catches on, with underground "fight clubs" forming in every town, until a sensuous eccentric gets in the way and ignites an out-of-control spiral toward oblivion.
