During
the course of my Master's program at San Jose State University,
learning the skills for page layout and design has been one of
the most challenging, yet rewarding experiences in the past two years.
I have gained not only an appreciation of the time, effort, and
patience needed to develop a good web site, but a tremendous respect
for those in the field who do this for a living. I have also learned that you can develop curriculum and teach at the same time, but you cannot master both arts simultaneously.
Here
I present six projects that highlight the theme of project-based learning that
represent my accomplishments in page layout and development skills
during the past two years at San Jose State University. Each project
is a prototype incorporating the design principles of contrast,
repetition, alignment, and proximity. These projects were completed in EDIT 273, EDIT 127, and EDIT 228.
