Industry and school settings have specific factors that drive the type of instruction based on a needs assessment. Industry instructional design is driven by the need to generate revenues. While curriculum development is driven by the need to increase test scores in areas that are lacking.
My body of work at National Semiconductor illustrates the need for proper assessment to check for knowledge attainment. This was completed by using the ADDIE process. My classroom instructional design was developed using rapid prototype and showcases one module. This body of work illustrates the need for visual cues to help students attempt to gain problem solving skills in a project-based learning setting.
