Two-goal last gasp comback!

 

PUNGGOL - Club M produced a formidable finish to beat CUFC after suffering a calamitous start to their sixth league game. The 'dodos' now lies third in the Grassroots Football League.

Indeed, this was as dramatic and painful for CUFC as Manchester United's Champions League success had been for Bayern Munich. CUFC took the lead early in the first half after capitalizing from a mistake by the dodo's keeper.

The dodos then reacted with a wave of scoring chances but the dodos lacked the killer instinct to finish up the opponents. Alwyn had a great chance to level up the game early in the second half but his shot hit the post for a goalkick.

Club M maintained constant pressure on the opponent's goal and towards the end, a goal was imminent. The dodos finally broke open the resilient CUFC defense to bring the score to 1-1 thanks to a cool finish by Alwyn.

The dodos did not content themselves with a draw and went for gold. All the perseverance and patience were rewarded a minute before the final whistle as Sandy score a wonderful free-kick from the left flank.
