Club M (Singapore) is a non-profit organization founded in March 20, 2003 for the purpose of bringing the Mauritian community in Singapore closer together. Being from various multi-cultural backgrounds, our members enhance the Mauritian image of a truly united nation.
Most of the current Club M’s members graduated from the two local Universities in Singapore, namely The National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), between 1997 and 2002. We are from a wide range of professional fields; Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration and Arts & Social Sciences.
Although our activities consist mainly of participating in soccer tournaments and events to promote the Mauritian image and culture, Club M’s main objective is to promote unity and friendship among Mauritians in Singapore. Club M offers a useful potential network source for future Mauritian students and expatriates to make them feel a little bit more at home. The activities of Club M are aimed at keeping the Mauritian community network alive as well as providing some kind of relaxation for all from the stressful Singapore lifestyle.
The qualities that every Club M member is expected to hold are represented by the 4 "Pailles en Queue" on our Team logo. They are:
- Team Spirit
- Determination to Succeed
- Respect for All
- Commitment to the Team
These criteria will play a crucial part in the recruitment of the players and also in the future achievements of the team.
