Before the shootings at Virginia Tech University happened, I experienced some rather strange moments. But hopefully it all have nothing to do with the shootings. Since a week ago, the neighbor on the left of the house where I live, were doing something using hammer, that produces hammering sounds to the bathroom where I use to take a bath or any other needs. It took place until today. When in this morning I saw one of the photos of the shooter Cho Seung Sui was holding a hammer, it makes me wonder what is the relationship with the sound of hammer that could be heard to my bathroom since a week ago. On Sunday, April 15, 2007, in the morning I was preparing to go to the Internet shop by bicycle as usual. At the time I was dragging the bicycle in the garage, the gardener was closing the front gate and the garage doors, and then three young men wearing black T-shirts with different kind of pictures appeared in front of the gate. They were like blocking my way to go. They were some kind of beggar, singing some songs with a guitar, hoping to get some small changes. I managed to get through them. A few minutes later in the Internet shop, that day the Internet connection was so bad, often disconnected, and when I tried to enter the geocities.com to get into my homepage, it always ended up with blank page. Therefore on that day I postponed the work of my letter like could be viewed at bgt111_drafts_bd.txt. It was still an unfinished page, with some captions still from the previous page. The second shooting at Virginia Tech university took place at Norris Hall, next to Holden Hall, like written in the report on NBC website : "...... Later in the morning, the school said there had been 'a multiple shooting with multiple victims in Norris Hall'. The doors that were chained closed in Norris prompted several people to jump from the building’s second-story windows, police said. Veronica Gentry, 21, a junior, spent the morning in lockdown in Pamplin Hall. There was a lot of confusion because we were getting little pieces of information here and there from the Virginia Tech Web site," she said by cell phone. "We kind of heard it was getting more serious; then the building started getting more crowded." Students were packed into rooms in Pamplin and told to get out of the hallways and away from windows, said Gentry, who is from Annapolis, Md. Robert Fried, 20, a student from Vienna, said he saw two people removed from Holden Hall on stretchers shortly after 10 a.m." On Monday, a day before the shooting, I was writing the draft of my previous letter about Michael Phelps breaking world records at the World Aquatics Championship in Melbourne, Australia, held on April 1, 2007. In Indonesia and some other Asian countries, a few decades ago the name Holden is famous for the name of Australian cars. While the earlier shooting that caused the deaths of two people happened in the Ambler Johnston West dormitory. The name of Ambler is like containing the first part of my name A.M. Firmansyah. The name of the university is Virginia Tech, containing the syllable Vir like my name Firmansyah. And the university president is Charles W. Steger, like reminding me with the name of prince Charles, previously the husband of Lady Di whose name sounds like "die" to me.

My deepest condolences to the victims of the shooting at Virginia Tech University. May it never dismiss the spirit to keep on moving ahead and grab the opportunity to become better students and graduates. Let's Go Hokies !!!!

The shooting at Virginia Tech university becomes like a reminder for me related with my consent to move out to the eternity. Because the first two shooting took place at Ambler Johnston West dormitory, whereas the name of Ambler is like containing the first part of my name A.M. Firmansyah. Besides, the name of the university is Virginia Tech, containing the syllable Vir like my name Firmansyah. And the university president is Charles W. Steger, like reminding me with the name of prince Charles, previously the husband of Lady Di whose name sounds like "die" to me. While the second shooting took place at Norris Hall, like containing my friend's last name Raidy Noor, whom I wrote a few days ago on 6 April 2007 in my letter of Whistling My Lyrics. And the second shooting caused the death of 30 people. Like related with my previous letter of Drowned Suherman Died Bringing Three Others, to remind me that if I should die soon I should never bring three others or thirty others or many other people. The shooting could also become some kind of scenario of my getting shot to death by someone in the near future. So what I need is to wish that as soon as possible my paintings would get sold at good price so I could be in the criteria of the wealth who should be shot to death by the similar person like Cho Seung Hui. For example, if fifteen paintings of mine could sold at 1,5 million US dollars in the near future, and I continued to get close to Paris Hilton, I think I could be considered as the wealthy man who should get shot by any other Cho Seung Hui. And if it would be good for this world, I wish to experience it with sincere mind wholeheartedly.
