I am attempting to learn Latin by myself. It is not the first time I attemp to learn a language in this manner, so there is much of my experience that might be relevant to you. I would like to share with you the material I find, pointing out difficulties as I encounter them, and offering possible solutions.
I will document here all the links and books I find relevant, rating them, noting which ones made a real impact in my learning, and pointing alternative sources you might try.
I will try to keep a "diary" so that you can get a more accurate picture of my progress.

You might find that learning a new language really takes time, starting one such as Latin can be quite frustrating, but with diligent study all the diferent material you read will come together as one piece.

There are many ways to teach latin, as it turns out. I have heard at least of two official methods, the British and the American. Serious publications such as the Oxford Latin Course come in two versions! I will try to point out such peculiarities as I might find them, but since I am including all the sources I have collected, be aware that they can be contradicting, innacurate, and in some cases downright false.

Another thing: I have opted for buying as many books as I can afford, so my learning process is not entirely helped by online sources. I will mention all this books, including the ones I'd purchase if I had the money. Where I have an opinion, I shall state it clearly. Email me if you would like to give me yours.
