Kris of Redforest: The training master

Other: Heavily muscled, and ugly. Kris is seriously courting a mysterious lady, and few (if any) know about them. Kris has been known to walk up unexpectedly on pages doing things they shouldn't. He's very heavy on pages who leave the palace without permission and he tends to go overboard on punishment for those who do leave. He was awarded by the King for helping to capture the King of theives just after he was knighted, making all of the suceeding thieves wary of him and the palace. Kris is a master at sword and helps to train the more promising students. Aside from being Training Master he holds the postition of one of the Kings main advisors

Dante of Cyrus: The magic teacher
Only a few years after his Ordeal, Dante took up the post of magic teacher. He has a powerful Gift (equal to Carthak's black robe mages)--however, he dislikes its color (bright magenta).
Dante is currently 23 years old. His laid back personality has made him a favorite among many pages, and he's always available to help pages with problems magical and otherwise.
He gets along with almost everybody, but two exceptions are Kris, the training master, and Blythe, a woman he would have married had she not left him at the altar.
Dante is about average height, with brown eyes and brown hair. He can still fight fairly well but doesn't really keep up with it, because his mage duties keep him so busy (he also teaches at the Royal University and is often assigned to do random tasks which often drag on for weeks).

Neccess: The Shang Tiger (not her real name)
Neccess is the pages' instructor in staff and sword. She is 24 years old, with orange/red hair that falls past her waist. Five foot eight and slender, with green eyes, she doesn't look very friendly.
And she's not. B*tch is the best description of her personality. She is finicky, narcissistic, and demanding. But her training is extremely effective, if the students survive it.
At fourteen, she singlehandedly won a war for Scanra and has been fighting for Tortall ever since. She loves to snap at people, and friendships with her must be earned.

Adreana Tourakin: hand to hand combat teacher

Physical description: a beautiful face--and, um, how to put this... a VERY mature body She has tanned skin, and she has a devilish smile. She's about 5'3. You can't quite tell her nationality. She is a mixture of: Saraine, Gallan, Bazhir, and Tortallan,
Other: She is very clever and mischievious. She was trained as a Shang but quit one month before she was to finish because she didn't want the discipline and wanted to be a little more annonymous than a Shang.
Skills/Magic: She has all the skill of a full Shang. And has a little bit of wild magic with wolves. And several strange Gifts, the strongest of which is complete control of fire.

HISTORY: Was engaged to become another farmers daughter, then she was killed by raiders. Before his father could arrange another marrige he came to the palace to be a teacher. He has no desier to marry whatsoever. He has many more things to do before he becomes old and withered. He can be of much more use in the archery range then in the field, seeing as every plant he trys to plant.... dies.

MAGIC: Her connection to the Gods. She has an inate sense for bad people and animals.
PERSONALITY: Miakia is generaly discribed as haveing a sunny dispostition. She smiles a lot, and jokes as well. If the mood or situation is becoming to serious or boring, she'll crack a pun or something like that. She also enjoys eating, quite a bit, and will do so at any opportunity. She isn't the best student, in general. She sometimes misses the proper meaning of words, falls asleep in class, and gets confused easily. While she is generaly light and frivolous, when the situation calls for it she can be serious as well, naturally. She cares a lot about her friends, and generaly about everyone, even her eneimes.

HISTORY: Miaka is the Miko of fife Suzkau, Miaka is a prestst, a girl who acts as a medium between the Gods. At the age of four a priest at her fife found she had an amazing connection with the gods. When she got to the City of the Gods she was enrolled in an elite academy. She learned to speak virtually every langauge, in depth information about the gods, and proper ettiquette. In additon to that she learned the everyday subjects. She learned math, proper grammar, the sciences, history of many countries and literature. As her parents requested she also learned lady like things like embroidery, talioring, dancing etc... The school, as a test to see how much knowledge she has learned, sent her to Corus to be a teacher at the Knight school. Though, Marika thinks that they are taking a break and suggesting a job that will earn her a nice wage. (Even though she dosen't need any money as her parents are VERY wealthy)

SKILL: Studied Shang from ages 3-16. She came to Tortall and learned our battle tactics for a year.
