| 1) Six weeks (a month and a half) is equivalent to one year as a page. For example, if you are a first year page and start in March, you will move up to being a second year page in April (providing you had good behaviour, passed tests etc... but more about that later). 3) This is one of the most important rules: You may not be any of the characters from Tamora Pierce's books. I know this might dissappoint some of you, but it's neccessary. This way there is no"competing" for characters, and all the characters are original. Also, you may not know any of Tammy's characters personally. You may speak of them, but please not in too much depth (if you do speak of them, it'll probably be in legend form, not story. Not something like, "The other day me and Alanna went for a walk" More like "I heard that the Lioness used to have a cat named Faithful." 4) You may choose to disguise yourself as a boy, like Alanna, which is OK. Or come as a girl like Kel, as long as you don't make up the exact same story line as the SOTL or POTS books. Remember you're creating you're own story and having your own adventure. 5) You don't have to come as a noble, or even a page. You may decide to come as a Lady, or a maid. If you do want to be a page you can be a commoner becomeing a page as well. Just remember that when you're character reaches "kinghthood" he or she will have to become noble. 6) Romance is allowed in moderation. You are allowed to kiss, say you love them but please not anything super grapic! (you know what I mean) 7) If you are a first year page, you will get a sponsor. He or she will teach you how to RP, get class notes, go to exams, etc. When you advance in years, you may be asked to be a sponsor. If you know some one personaly who is becoming a first year page you may want to sponsor them; if you send in a request we'll try to allow you to. 8) We don't have "classes" because no one really has time or need for them. 9) You may have up to three chracters This RPG is really stressing trying to develop your own character, and your own story. 10) Your characters are allowed to be in different years. They may not sponsor one another. So you may want to start one of your characters now, but then want to start another one later. This is perfectly ok as long as you never have more than 3 characters at one time 11) This one isn't a rule as much as a request. I know the majority of Tammy's readers are girls, but it would be really nice if we could get some guys into it. So if you could make even one of your chracters a boy it'd be really nice. 12) This also isn't mandatory, but it's helpful and makes it more fun. REALLY GET INTO YOUR CHaRACTER AND STORY!. It will be much more fun this way, belive me. Oh, and make friends! What would Kel be with out Neal, Owen, and Merric? And Alanna with out Jon, George, and Raoul? MISERABLE!! Go on adventures with your friends, even get into mischief! (but not super bad stuff :) ) 13) If you feel like fanfiction will really help you develop your character, feel free to write a fan fic about him/her, E-mail it to us and we'll put it up on the site. 14) If you don't want to write a fan fic, set up an online journal for them, and we'll add that to the site too. 15) We accept SOTL, IMM, and POTS Fanfics too. They'll go up on the site, but no Emelan fan fics, please 16) Meetings are always on Saturdays. There is a one week brake for "summer". 17) About quitting, I totally understand if you feel you don't want to do this anymore, and it won't offend us in any way. If you feel like taking a brake or just stopping you can just stop coming, but it would really be helpful if you just sent us an e-mail saying that you won't be coming anymore. Otherwise, we will still send you e-mail notices, and you will still recieve exams. 18) There is no "power playing". Which means you cann't essentialy "play" the other character. For example, you cannot say ::Cayle scares Ven and he is so scared he jumps up to the chandelier and hangs there for days::. You COULD say, ::Cayle scares Ven::, but then Ven would have to say, ::I jump up so high I catch the chandelier and hang there for days::. (let us know if you don't understand). Also, your character cannot kill another character without the characters consent. You may hurt them, so long as they don't say, ::blocks the downward sweep of the sword:: or something to those effects. |
| 1) Actions will be in two colon marks (EX. ::sits down::) 2) When you want to say something out of chracter it will be in two parenthases (EX. ((g/g now, bi)) ) 3) A double asterisk mean that the chracter is talking mind to mind. So you'll want to put something like ::to Cayle:: **Hello, I'm back at the palce finaly! Where are you?** 4) Putting ~ around an sentence indicates that it is a thought and can not be heard by the other chracter ((EX: ~Man he is really getting annoying!~ 5) When soemthing is written use quotation marks to allow them to read what it it says (EX: "Dear Ven, Today I had a lot of fun at the armory...." |
