The Core Knowledge planners present CK's scope and sequence. They set out what to be taught and when. Each year uses the previous year as a foundation and builds upon it. The subjects covered are Language Arts/English, History and Geography, Visual Arts, Music, Mathematics, and Science. American History and World History are taught every year. These planners contain more information then the "What Your Nth Grader Needs to Know series" and with a lot more detail.
The planners do not suggest a specific teaching method except for phonics and a spiral math program (such as Saxon) is highly recommended.
The Preschool Sequence is divided into "skill" groups instead of school subjects. It was developed to give every child a firm foundation to succeed in school or home.
All of the supplements are produced by Core Knowledge and support their scope and sequence. Many of the items are easily adapted to the homeschool environment.
They include:
Books to Build On: A resource guide to direct you to other books. This book follows the Sequence and gives recommendations by grade and then subject for books that can be used to supplement a topic.
Learn more about Books to Build On at the Core Knowledge site.
CD Collections: Each CD in the collection has at least one piece of music that is recommended in the Sequence. The collections are divided into grade level. They also have separate discs for Blues and Jazz, the History of Jazz, and Mozart. They are excellent productions and they are cheaper than if they were individually purchased.
Learn more about the CD collections at the Core Knowledge site.
Literature Selections: There are three literature selections. Please click any of the selections below to learn more about them
Poetry: CK offers their poetry suggestions in booklet form entitled "Listen, My Child." These poems are the same found in the Needs to Know Series.
Learn more about the Listen, My Child series at the Core Knowledge site.
Purchased Curriculum(Based on the CK Sequence)Core Knowledge Share the Knowledge: This is a CD filled with lessons developed by Core Knowledge teachers and shared at the annual conferences. They are developed for the classroom however they can be adapted for homeschool use.
Pearson History Books "Core Knowledge Series": This history series is presented in two formats. These books are purchased through the Pearson Learning Group.
The K-2 series main content is in the Teacher Guides, they cover the bulk of the teaching. For kindergarten there are four topics each with a "big book" ($100 each) and teachers guide ($8.95 each). For 1st and 2nd grade the big books are replaced by student booklets. For 1st grade there are 8 units and for 2nd grade 11 units. Each unit has a student booklet ($7.95) and teachers guide ($8.95). Each of these units can be purchased separately or can be purchased in a bundled set for a specific grade level.
Many people start using Pearson books in 3rd grade when textbooks are offered. These history books are aligned with the Core Knowledge sequence and are beautifully written. Topic booklets also are available for some units as well as teacher guides. A more complete description will be coming.

Baltimore Curriculum Project: (Taken from the BCP site, with minor changes.)BCP's Core Knowledge lessons are organized by grade level, month (September - May), and discipline. The lessons generally follow the grade-by-grade topics in the Core Knowledge Sequence, but they have been developed independently of the Core Knowledge Foundation. While the Core Knowledge Foundation encourages the development and sharing of lessons based on the Core Knowledge Sequence, it does not endorse any one set of lesson plans as the best or only way that the knowledge in the Sequence should be taught...Lessons are revised in response to comments from reviewers and teachers.
