Details of the LARP

v  The LARP started at the end of the year 1123, roughly seven months after the Scorpion Coup was put down. (For more detail on that year see the timeline)

v  Emperor Hantei the 39th has divided the Scorpion lands mostly between the Crab, Crane, Lion, and Unicorn Clans.   He has also given out large portions to various nobles, courtiers, etc. that are in the Imperial graces.

v  The LARP centers on the city of Ryoko Owari.  This city lies in the center of the divided Scorpion lands.  It is also the largest and most corrupt trade center in the Empire.  Given its importance all Great Clans demanded a share of the city.  As a result the city is to be ruled by a council of Clans, overseen by an Imperial representative.
