In almost every circus, there is a hint towards the asian or Chinese circus. In Varekai, the water meteor, (also known as the spinning meteor) makes its appearance again after first appearing in the 1986 show, "Le Magie Continue." Unlike in the previous show, this is performed by 3 cute 12 year old chinese boys. Janice Kennedy in the Facisnation newsletter puts it like this, "Three young boys toss spinning meteors into the skies, twirling about with elegant energy as they catch them, over and over." |
