The show goes down a darker road with the solo on crutches performance. Flanked by the ominous beings of the forest, he shows Icarus that even though his legs are broken and he needs crutches, you are still able to move around with incredible grace and agility. His ballet is pure emotion. This act is simple but still very difficult at the same time; Ignatenkov twirls all around the stage even though he is knocked down several times. It seems inhuman to be able to do over 7 rotations on a pair of crutches, but he shows us all that inpossible are possible in cirque. |
