| Welcome to the Official Home Page of the Batavia Wiffleball League. We are a small upcoming league of teenagers in Batavia, Ohio just outside of Cincinnati who love the game and wanted to get a little more serious. If you want to know anything about the league, the players, the field, or the stats, it should be here. If not, you can contact either Rich Trogden at [email protected] or Stephen Porter at [email protected]. Please feel free to leave a message and comments in our guestbook. Thanks and enjoy! |

| NEWS Sunday August 10 the Old Boston Crabs met up against the playoff champion GC Gophers in a best of five World Series to determine the BWL champion for 2003. The Gophers took the first two games and had the lead in the third game going into the bottom of the fifth, when Zack Faris hit the "Shot Heard Round The World," a walk-off home run that sent the series into a game four. It was all gravy from there for the newly invigorated Crabs, with Stephen Porter pitching two gems and giving up only 1 run in the last two games. A fly out to Mark Cribbet ended the series and the season, crowning the league's second ever champion. Good season everyone! |
