Traffic and Transport
Vote Cieran Perry
Cabra/Glasnevin Ward - Dublin City Council

Congestion from new residential schemes is creating havoc in our settled communities.

We cannot be expected to accommodate motorway level traffic. We cannot continue to suffer rat running, congestion and unacceptable levels of air pollution.

Traffic entering Cabra from Clonee/Mulhuddart roads should be redirected down the Ballyboggin road. Not only will this help local residents, by greatly reducing cars and trucks, it will alleviate some congestion on the Navan road.

I am totally opposed to any proposal to build a motor flyover at Ratoath Road.

A proper new train station should be built at Liffey junction, allowing more local people access to the Arrow train service. Greater frequency can be achieved by using Broadstone as a new terminal. Broadstone will be a link with the Metro routes.

Pedestrian lights must be provided along Blackhorse Avenue for public safety.

An integrated ticket service must be introduced immediately allowing for bus, train, Dart and Luas usage.
