No Strings Attached

Basically, the music in this album impresses me a lot because so much of it is what I like to call techno-pop, which I love(By now our ever-genius *NSYNCers have coined an official term for this type of music; They call it "dirty pop." Mmkay...cool!). I heard that there's an Asian version of this album which has certain bonus tracks. Ah, the unfairness.
*Bye Bye Bye: Ah yes. Bye Bye Bye. Who here doesn't know all the dance moves to this song? Well, you don't belong on my page. J/k:). But anyway, this song rocks and proves just how good *NSYNC is. I mean, this song is hard to sing! Try singing it sometimes. Try actually singing it. Then add the dance moves. See how embarrassed you get.
*It's Gonna Be Me: Or as Justin likes to say it, "Meyh." Actually, musically, that's the way you're supposed to pronounce the word "me." Did I mention that I liked *NSYNC? I like *NSYNC a lot. I like "It's Gonna be Me" a lot. Possibly even more than Bye Bye Bye(Well, actually...no). Don't you love it how they always have a certain theme to their songs that us listeners have grown to love? They first have JC or Justin sing the the intro melody, then the rest of them join in for the ***kickin' chorus harmonies, then the one who didn't sing the first melody sings a suped up version, then the chorus again, then a small interlude which leads off into a whole different version of the song("All that I do, is not enough for you..."), and if we're lucky, they play the two themes together for the finale(This didn't happen in IGBM), with Justin and JC adding their hip vocal add-ons. Did I ramble?
*Space Cowboy(Yippie-Yi-Yay): "Why-yi-yi-yippie-yi-yay-yippie-yi-yo-yippie-yi-yay, Why-yi-yi-yippie-yi-yay-yippie-yi-yo-yippie-yi-yo!" I'm liking this CD. I love funk crack like this! Mad props to JC for writing this out! Lyrics are a little weird, though, and I didn't recognize Lisa "Lefteye" Lopez's voice 'cause it sounded like a guy.
*Just Got Paid: Hmm, I think I'm supposed to not like this song, but I do. In itself, it's not great, but the guys to and excellent job with their vocals and manages to get it suped up.
*It Makes Me Ill: I don't know why, this song made me laugh. Maybe it had something somthing to do with how funky the guys' voices and the background instruments were: Together they create a surplus of funky. The song's pretty cool, not much, but fun to listen to. It grows on you. Just like everything else *NSYNC does. Soon you'll be nothing but a collection of things that *NSYNC did which grew on you, hahaha!
*This I Promise You: The secong best *NSYNC ballad. So good. So good. I will never cease to be impressed by the part where ALL: "And I will take..." JC: "Aie will taaake yooou in miiye ahrrms...!" and then later when ALL: "Just close your eyes each loving day-ay-ay-ayay..." JC: "Each loving daaaayy-ayay...!" Music video's beautiful. But it's not really a harmony song...really JC carried it through. Richard wrote it intending for a solo voice, I'll bet.
*No Strings Attached: This would be my favorite song in the whole CD. I just can't understand why so some people don't like this. It is just so techno/dirty-pop and amazing...! D**n *NSYNC for being perfect! **mn them! It's so good when JC goes: "So if you want to take a chance with meeee.." and it cues the five person chords: "Ah...ah...ah...ah...Aah...!"(Wait a minute. JC was still singing when they did that, there couldn't have been five voices! Someone must have dropped out and repeated an "ah...")Then they do the alternate melody: "If you,(Babeh!)take a chance with(Take a chance with me...!), I'll be everything you need(Everything you need), because it's our destiniiieeeeeeyyyy!" Then it combines the two melodies, and it's just so good. Christ, I've got to stop doing that.
*Digital Get Down: CYBERSEX! Got your attention, right? A lot of people are annoyed at this song because it's just oh-so-dirty and can pollute the minds of young children. While I'm all for *NSYNC being role models, my final analysis is this: If you can't stand the heat, get outta the kitchen. Let's not get all Ross Perot about this; If children don't know what cybersex is, most likely they will just think of this song as a chatroom conversation between two lovers. If they do, well then hiding the message about it isn't going to do much, is it? My favorite quote of all time is that "innocence does not protect, knowledge protects." I'm sorry to say, censoring material like this just doesn't cut it. If you really want to protect your children, the best you can do is to make sure they have adequate understanding of it so they can better protect themselves. Besides I don't think the song's so dirty at all; It's stuff you can hear teenagers say everyday, and you hear dirtier stuff off of "All That."
*Bringin' Da Noise: I'm a little reluctant to say it, but this song doesn't really get me pumped up that much. Don't get me wrong, it's great, but it's not like one of those songs you get the CD for. My conclusion: "Best served live. If at all."
*That's When I'll Stop Loving You: I'm not really into slow moving ballads. Still, TWISLY's pretty good. It's got the beat, the tunes, and the message. But I'll admit that I usually skip this one...it feels kinda out of place and isn't exactly one of Diane Warren's best works.
*I'll Be Good For You: Love the harmonies, it's like an oldies song that you don't get to hear anymore. The beat is so phat, but actually I wasn't able to get into when I first heard it. At first it doesn't sound like something *NSYNC would sing. A little R&B? Not that I really mind. Justin co-wrote this one, btw.
*I Thought She Knew: JOOOOOOIIIIIIIEEEEEEYYYYYY! I'm addicted to a cappela. I'm still a little pissed and standing by my claim that *NSYNC needs to stop shoving their ultimate vocals down my throat, but for the time being, bring it on. All members just sounded immense in this one, it's scary.
I think this following song is on the Asian version, but I'm not sure.
*I'll Never Stop: Ah, more of the *NSYNC pop and awesome harmonies that I know and love. Although the part where they go "I can wait forever till the endoftime" is a little too old school. Still, all in all it's neato with another great alternate chorus part.
So my final answer is...(I KNOW THAT WAS AS LAME AS H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS!!!)
If you haven't yet, get the CD. No, don't even argue, just get it. GO! NOW! Again, thank me later.
Still, JC was a little wrong when he said that there are no tracks that you're gonna skip. Don't be mistaken, I dig them all, but some songs are just better than others and you'll be jumping around the tracks a lot. But generally, the guys have done it, they've officially stated that they are *NSYNC, they are awesome, and they are here to stay.
That's all for this page, Bye Bye Bye!(AAAARRGH I NEED TO STOP PUTTING STUPID MESSAGES LIKE THAT!!!)
