My Thoughts on *NSYNC

Alright, I think it's fairly apparent from the contents of my site that I like *NSYNC a lot. I used to consider myself just an appreciator, not a fan, because I don't actually have a lot of their merchandise and don't follow their TV appearances religiously. Lately I've decided, what the heck, bring on the *NSYNC! I truly enjoy their music, yes, and totally respect them as musicians. The whole recent lawsuit and move to JIVE thing didn't diminish their appeal to me, instead it raised my appreciation and respect for these hardworking young men(By the way, I almost never refer to them as "boys," not because I think of it as a term of derision, but because they're all older than me and I don't consider myself a boy. Yes, I am very much aware of my weirdness). The men of *NSYNC truly do not bend to harshness and definitely do not fit into the stereotypical "boyband" genre set by so many. Yes, their music can be classified as pop, as pop=popular and *NSYNC=popular, but over time these guys have shown the world that they "are masters of" their "own destiny." Plus they have some awesome tunes that I totally dig;)
Reasons to like *NSYNC
*Take it from a guy who has had experience singing in a small men's group that these guys know how to sing, how to harmonize, and how to listen to each others' chords. Trust me, they do this very well. They are true, amazingly talented and coordinated musicians and have shown this in many of their songs. Have you heard them sing a capella?
*They can dance. They can move. Have you seen them at one of their concerts!? They're jumping all over the place, groovin' like no tomorrow. It's no wonder it sounded like Justin & JC were running out of breath in the MTV Movie Awards 2000. And they do this over and over again, day after day. If it were me I'd be having convulsions within the month(And one of my dreams was to be the sixth member of *NSYNC, too. Sigh).
*This is possibly the biggest reason I like *NSYNC: They're positive. They've got positive vibes. You know what I'm saying: These guys always seem like they're able to have a good time, laugh, and enjoy themselves. I admire that. Even when they're trying to set a more drastic image(i.e. No Strings Attached album:)), *NSYNC is always able to joke and send out positivity to their fans. Heck, they've got charities all over the place and appeared at various children's hospitals to sing. I see *NSYNC as the kind of guys that can be role models for anyone, especially children and younger teens. They certainly have been for me. I swear, it's hard to find that kind of positive vibe in the entertainment industry lately. Ahem, ahem, Eminem(It's not that I don't like Eminem, but I'd laugh in your face if you told me he could be a role model).

*The idea of the No Strings Attached Album: Like I said, I admire them for their courage and determination in dealing with their transfer. I'm even more impressed in their ingenuity about this sophomore album; The marionette idea was amazingly done(BYE BYE BYE!!!), and I'm generally impressed with the whole album itself("If you want it here's my hah-arrt, No Strings Attached!"). The music video for "It's Gonna Be Me" was just amazing, I thought it was all done on computer animation until I saw Making the Video, and it just further illustrates the guys' playful positivity and creativity even in such a situation. It's been the last couple of months that showed the world *NSYNC is not afraid to be...um...*NSYNC.
*God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You...Despite having a long*** title, this was the song that first got me into *NSYNC, and still my favorite song, even if I don't get to listen to it that often. Very beautiful, superbly voiced, bring on the positive vibes, baby. If it were possible I'd just run down the street singing this song at the top of my lungs, but I'm kinda concerned about the sacrilegiousness of it all.
*Their Christmas songs. I swear to God, if they had more positivity they'd just turn into five Care Bears (TM). I've never been so psyched by "The First Noel." And "O Holy Night" a capella...{Whisper}control the jealousy, control the jealousy,it IS fair that they can do this so beautifully, it IS fair. Merry Christmas. And Happy Holidays.
*Music of My Heart. No explanations necessary. But come here if you absolutely need one.
*Other musicians and entertainers respect them. Anyone who's ever met, worked with, or associated with *NSYNC had nothing but good things to say about them. Well, obvious exceptions, of course, but doesn't that say a lot about them, you crappy pop critics?
*Chris and Joey are more fun than a barrel of monkeys. I'm sorry, I had to say that.
*Many other reasons.
